The Acer Aspire E5-576G features one PCIe Gen 3 x4 port for its M.2 slot. This allows you to use NVMe SSDs with Gen 3 x4 speeds. The Samsung 970 Evo Plus up to 2TB is an excellent Gen3 SSD that has DRAM memory. You can install a Gen4 NVMe SSD in a Gen 3 x4 slot but that will run at Gen3 speeds (half of Gen4 rated speed).

The Acer Aspire E5-576G supports a maximum of 16GB of RAM using 2x8GB DDR3L-1600MHz modules. These must be NON-ECC, SODIMM, 204-pin, 1.35V, and PC3-12800 type RAM, as overclocked memory is not compatible.

As for SSD upgrades, the laptop’s M.2 slot supports NVMe Gen 3 drives. While opting for an NVMe Gen 3 drive, such as the Samsung 970 EVO Plus, can provide superior performance for a noticeable speed boost.
