Hi

I'm trying to repair my computer's WIFI driver, but it won't work

I have a acer 5 ProBook with the model being A515-52

-I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the driver

-downloading the driver from the acer website and putting on a usb stick

-downloading directly from the manufacturing site using ethernet from from another computer

-stalling the driver from previous updates

one thing to note is the website said that the driver is for window 10 64-bit,however, I have windows 11 and there is no driver for windows 11

I'm currently updating my windows system while connected the the ethernet but idk if that will work.

I would appreciate if you can tell me if i did something wrong or have a alternate solution😊

Hi, Probook is HP not Acer, the A515-52 Acer is from 2018 and is a Windows10 laptop: Whiskey Lake CPU is not supported by Windows11 24H2. Uninstall all the drivers marked with yellow exclamation triangles in Device Manager-Other Devices and uninstall the Intel AC 9560 Wi-Fi driver, just reboot and let windows11 install the best network driver. If you have the W11 23H2 version and there is no network driver that works, consider an external Wi-Fi Adapter as a temporary workaround or roll back to Windows10 22H2 and install the drivers from Acer Support.

Your ProBook with the model being A515-52 is NOT a ProBook its an Acer Aspire A515-52 laptop that its oem drivers are specifically designed for Win-10, if you upgraded to Win-11 24H2 then this upgrade does NOT have the specific Win-10 Wi-Fi drivers for the Intel AC9560 card hence and why your Wi-Fi is not working and you will have problems with certain drivers and this is what is happening to your Aspire A515-52 model.

Try to install the Win-10 AC9560 version 21.70.0. 6 driver from the Acer Drivers & Manual page for the Aspire A515-52 laptop as and if the Win-10 driver installs, then your WLAN will work, otherwise you have a problem and will only be able to connect to the Internet directly with the Realtek RTL8411B LAN port and with an RJ45 cable to your router.

These are the Wi-Fi cards that Acer fitted to the Aspire A515-52 laptops that includes your Intel AC9560 card and the Intel 9462 card, if your card is faulty, then you need to replace your existing AC9560 card.
