Acer Iconia A700 Tablet System Update fails

When I try to look for system updates on this old tablet, I get the message attached.

It looks like the tablet is trying to use a base64 encoded string as a hostname, which of course cannot be resolved.

Any suggestions?🤔

Is there maybe somewhere where the update server hostname can be set?

Many thanks!

There are no new updates available for the Acer Iconia A700 tablet, as Android 4.1.1 was the last version released by Acer for that model.
You can manually check for updates by going to Settings > System > System update. Since the device is older, it's unlikely that you will receive any further official updates.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Thanks Sharanji, but that is exactly what I did to produce the error message I sent!

The question is if I can somehow correct the hostname, I would like to get the update check to work, even if there are no new updates.

Or was the update server taken down at some point, and the error message for some reason just shows the encoded hostname? Doesn't really make sense.

Also the base64 string decodes to

    checki6W"gWGW&VF

which would not be a valid hostname, so something must be wrong in the settings or update process.
