Please try following the below mentioned steps.

To update your Acer HL6810ATV projector via USB, download the firmware, connect the projector to your computer with a USB cable, enter the projector's download mode, and then use the Acer Splash Downloader to install the firmware.

    Here's a more detailed breakdown:
    Download the Firmware: HL6810ATV Downloads

Ensure you have the correct firmware for your model and version.

Connect the Projector to Your Computer:
Turn on the projector. Connect the USB cable to the projector's service port and your computer's USB port. Make sure it is a USB-type B Mini cable.

Enter Download Mode: Press the Menu button, select Initial/All Settings > Firmware Update, and press Enter. Select "Yes" to start the firmware update. The projector will enter firmware update mode, and all status indicators will start flashing.

    Install the Firmware:
Open the One Click firmware file that you have downloaded.
Follow the instructions provided by the Acer Splash Downloader to install the firmware.
Do not disconnect the power cable or remove the USB cable while the firmware is updating.
Once the update is complete, the projector will restart.

Another option is to install the firware directly from USB drive.
Copy the downloaded firmware update file to the root directory of the USB drive.
Insert the USB drive into the projector's USB port.
Navigate to the projector's settings menu and find the update or firmware upgrade option.
Select the option to start the update process from the USB drive.
The projector will guide you through the update process. Do not interrupt the process, and ensure the projector has a stable power supply during the update.
Allow the update to complete fully. The projector will automatically restart after the update is finish

I described that the connection is OK, the application from the given page works, but after turning on the software, "erase fail" is displayed, it is not possible to update from a USB pendrive
