Hello everyone.

Trouble is happening during with only running TS OSD from Windows (step - Restart in WinPE). If booted from PXE - works ok.

I am having trouble with a particular model (Acer Veriton Vero B650). There is no problem on many other different models.

UEFI. BitLocker and antivirus disabled. Windows 10 x64 ltsc 2021.

Secure Boot enabled or disabled - does not matter.

All drivers added to boot.wim

Maybe someone has encountered something similar. Help to find out the reason for the impossibility of TS OSD running from Windows (step - Restart in WinPE).

There have been a bunch of different B650 models, we need to know for sure which you have. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like xxxx-xxx-xxxx. Do you maybe mean one of the Vero Mini models? I am not aware of any of the Veriton B650 models in the Vero line, and Veriton line's version is really old IIRC. I believe when you say TS OSD you mean Task Sequence Operating System Deployment?

OK, that model isn't supported running Windows 10, the chipset drivers are only for Windows 11. Could that be the issue?

It was checked on Windows 10 ltsc 2021, Windows 11 pro, Windows 11 ltsc 2024. The result is the same, error at step Restart in Windows PE.

So if the issue appears in both W11 and W10 it's likely not a driver issue, though you probably shouldn't even try with W10 because of the incompatibility. When it tries the restart, what specifically happen? Does it not restart at all, or does it just boot back into the normal Windows environment instead or WinPE?

Hello. When performing task siquiences operation system deployment, the first standard step "Restart in windows PE" the bootloader is successully replaces but an error is displayed that the step cannot be performed and the computer does not automatically reboot on Windows PE for continuations execution next steps TS. If you reboot the computer manually, the computer no longer boots. I have sccm client logs if they required. I do attach screenshots errors. What do you think, is it possible that the problem is due to the RAM? Is it possible that the RAM does not support the mode "Ramdisk" or is this my fantasy?

No, ramdisk is a software thing, the hardware doesn't come into play. I'm thinking it's something more in the UEFI boot choice. Is the winload.efi file identical in both locations?

Sorry, could you please clarify which locations I should look at?

    c:\windows\system32\boot\winload.efi and c:\windows\system32\winload.efi?

if in this location - then both files are identical

Yes, those two… I'm thinking you are going to be better served by asking on Microsoft community boards rather than here. There is no hardware reason I can come up with why it isn't working.
