My touchscreen stopped working a couple of months back. i checked at the device manager to maybe enable it but it wasnt there. It only showed up when i viewed hidden devices, but i couldn't enable it or update it or make any changes to it.

I decided to for the HID touchscreen driver on the acer website, but after searching up the driver using my serial number, i still can't find the touchscreen driver on the website. Please, please help.

Yes, without know just which Spin 1 you have we can't give much additional help. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like SP1xx-xxx-xxxx. The issue might be in the USB drivers and devices, since the touchscreen usually sits behind an internal USB.

If a touchscreen isn't responsive or not working correctly in Windows, try restarting the Windows device. If after the restart the touchscreen is still having problems, check for updates by following these steps:

Windows 11 - Right-click on the Start menu and then select Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options.

    Or

Select the following Windows Update Advanced options shortcut:

    Windows Update Advanced options

In the Windows Update > Advance options window that opens, make sure Receive updates for other Microsoft products is switched On.

Under Additional options, select Optional updates.

In the Windows Update > Advanced options > Optional updates window, select all optional updates and then select the Download and install button.

In the left-hand pane of the Settings app, select Windows Update .

In the Windows Update window, select the Check for updates button.

Once available updates populate, install all available updates.

After all updates are finished installing, restart the Windows device even if none of the updates required a restart.
