Your Aspire A315-44 can have a max total of 32GB @2x 16GB DDR4-3200MT/s CL22 type ram, do not fit overclocked or XMP ram as the laptop will not boot.

Memory specs and modules types suitable for the A315-44

Fit 2x 16GB modules of the Acer suggested highlighted ram below or look at the Crucial Micron range of ram to for the same 260pin DDr4 SODIMM modules.

The Acer N22C6 A315-44 supports RAM upgrades up to 32GB using DDR4 3200MHz SO-DIMM modules. It is recommended to use two identical 16GB modules to enable dual-channel memory for optimal performance. When upgrading, ensure the new RAM matches the existing one in terms of clock speed and CAS latency. Purchasing RAM from the same kit is advisable, as it ensures compatibility and stability. Additionally, consider reliable brands like Crucial, Kingston.

Do you have 8GB + 8GB = 16GB RAM or a single 16GB stick in your slot? If you have a 16GB RAM stick in one slot, make sure to buy another 16GB RAM stick with the same specifications as your existing one. I can help check and recommend a compatible 16GB RAM stick. To do this, download the CPU-Z software and share a screenshot of the SPD tab.
