Since your Acer Aspire internal screen isn't displaying but the external monitor connected via HDMI does, the issue likely lies with the laptop's internal display or its connection to the mainboard.

The eDP cable connecting the laptop screen to the mainboard could be damaged or have a loose connection, or the LCD panel itself might be faulty, or The backlight, which illuminates the screen, could be faulty.

To reset your Acer laptop using the battery reset pinhole, first ensure the laptop is turned off and unplugged from the AC adapter. Locate the battery reset pinhole on the bottom of your laptop, usually marked with a battery icon. Using a small paperclip or a similar object, press and hold the reset button inside the pinhole for about 5 seconds. After releasing the button, wait for approximately 5 minutes before plugging in the AC adapter and powering on your laptop.

If the problem persists, contacting Acer support for further assistance is recommended. Acer Support
