Real 3d Games or 2d to 3d conversion

Since Steam had loads of offers, I decided it could be a good time to buy a collection of 3d games from the SpatialLabs games list. My new Predator Helios 3d Laptop, a week old now, was giving me B.S.O.D, Java errors, Over heating and Game issues. It's working OK at the moment, since it decided to completely reinstall Windows 11 on it's own and then again as that Windows 11 version it installed was no longer supported. Also the fan speeds have been increased to reduce CPU temps

So what I'm finding is now is as follows

Some of these games just won't run

Nearly half of the ones purchased, boot to 2d not 3d you can however use the 2d to 3d conversion

If I set the games to full screen the game doesn't always save the settings

I took the time to create an excel sheet showing what worked and what doesn't

All i can say is be careful what games you buy

I did try the 2d to 3d conversion on some of my other games this seems to work well

Setting the app to side by side instead of 2d on a 2d game causes mega viewing problems

Best wishes

    Update 07/04/2025

The laptop is a Predator Helios 3d 15 Spatiallabs Edition

Here is the latest game info on what games play, run to 2d, Crash and the ones that work in 3d. They are listed in the TRUE GAME list as working in 3d, I didn't test all the Xbox games listed, as a large number of them needed payment and were not available in Game Pass. The steam ones I purchased. Feel free to add any games you have tested.

I can't seem to get an answer to why the Acer - Spatiallabs publish a list of 3d games that fail to boot to 3d on the Predator Helios 3d Laptop. I however have been trying different games to see which ones work I also tried out The Re Shade App to run games in real 3d not using 2d to 3d conversion

In short about 50% of the listed Spatiallabs 3d games work in 3d the rest either don't boot or boot to 2d

There are some games that have a 3d setting in the game, some work using the side by side feature others fail.

Most games can work using the 2d to 3d conversion but this is not real 3d

The games that failed to boot to 3d from the Spatiallabs list and other's I have bought and played over the years can be run in 3d side by side mode using Re Shade. This however may or may not work on all games. it can also cause performance issues selection of the correct settings is very important. I found that it's best to stay in the Re Shade 2d mode to start with as it is difficult to see the settings whilst in 3d mode. the 3d depth works in most cases but often needs adjustment, an additional Onscreen depth adjustment whilst playing would help

You are very welcome to post your findings here as well
