Nitro xv272u f3-Is this acceptable for IPS monitor? noticed large green spots across the display.

i bought a acer nitro xv272u f3 monitor. The day I received it I noticed large green spots across the display. Then i found out it was IPS (In-Plane Switching) glow. I can't find any examples of IPS glow this severe and it being green in color. I contacted acer support day 1 but they are useless. called it backlight bleed and normal for IPS displays. But what backlight bleed is green in color? I have tried adjusting to it. But its very annoying and unusable. So i come to this forum for a solution from the acer team. pathetic service so far and acer has service agents who have no knowledge whatsoever.

The issue you're experiencing seems to be more than just typical IPS glow or backlight bleed and may indicate a defective panel.

Since the green spots are distracting and render the monitor unusable, you should insist on a replacement or refund within your warranty or return window. If you purchased it from Amazon, for example, go to your orders and select the option for return or replacement, or request a refund to obtain another unit. the thing is I bought it from Flipkart. And I tried replacing it day one. But they asked to contact brand and acer sent a agent and that guy called it backlight bleed and mentioned it as yellow discoloration on the job sheet. I tried to tell him but he dint budge. Acer simply refuses my claim and calls it normal. Its awful to use the monitor. Idk what to do so I'm seeking help on the forum. I'm planning on registering a complaint with the government portal if this isn't solved….

The service agent incorrectly labeled the green spots as "yellow discoloration" and dismissed them as normal backlight bleed. This suggests either negligence or a lack of expertise.

Contact Flipkart customer care again and explain that the product is defective and unusable, citing your consumer rights under the Consumer Protection Act.

Provide clear evidence (photos/videos) of the green spots and reference their return policy for defective electronics. You have valid grounds for seeking a replacement or refund since the monitor is defective. Tell those fools that "Such large green discoloration is not standard for ips backlight bleed and may indicate a different issue altogether."
