How can I use the Predator W6x only as accesspoint? I don't want to use the router function (I already have another router) I want to have the LAN IP range also to be in the IP range of the existing network.

You can use the Predator Connect W6x primarily as an access point, but you'll need to configure it in bridge mode, which essentially disables its routing functions. In bridge mode, the Predator Connect W6x acts as a wireless access point, extending your existing network's coverage without handling internet traffic.

Access the Predator Connect W6x Web Interface:
Connect a computer to the Predator Connect W6x using an Ethernet cable.
Open a web browser and go to http://acer-connect.com or http://192.168.76.1.
Log in with the default admin password (usually found on a sticker on the device).
    Disable Router Function:
Navigate to the "WAN" or "Internet" settings.
Set the connection mode to "Bridge" or "Access Point" (if available).
Disable the DHCP server in the "LAN" settings.

Please check the steps : How to Use Your Predator Connect W6 as a Bridge
Predator Connect W6x user manual : Predator Connect W6x

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

    Hi Sharanji,

I only have the following 3 choices at Connection mode:

    DHCP
    Static mode
    PPPoE

    Firmware W6x_GBL_1.01.000007

    How can I fix this?

To use your Predator Connect W6x (or W6) solely as an access point, you need to disable the router function by switching to bridge mode and then configure the WAN settings to static IP, disabling the DHCP server.
    Here's a step-by-step guide:

    1. Access the Predator Connect W6x Web Portal:
Connect a computer to the Predator Connect W6x via Ethernet or Wi-Fi.
Open a web browser and go to http://acer-connect.com or http://192.168.76.1.
Log in using the default admin password (found on the sticker on the bottom of the device).
    2. Configure Bridge Mode:
Go to the "Quick setup" tab.
      Click on the "Next" button.
In the WAN section, set the connection mode to "Static IP".
      Enter the following information:
IP address: (This should be an IP address from your existing network's range, but outside the range used by your main router).
Subnet mask: (This should be the same as your existing network's subnet mask).
Default gateway: (This should be the IP address of your main router).
Primary DNS server: (This should be the IP address of your main router or a public DNS server like 8.8.8.8 or 1.1.1.1).
Click on "Next" and save your settings.
    3. Disable DHCP Server:
After switching to bridge mode, disable the DHCP server in the Predator Connect W6x's settings.
You can usually find this setting under the "Network" or "WAN" settings.
