I used the find my serial number download and it gave me a serial # as well as a Snid # but they aren't detected when I try to register. I just bought this computer off of someone who was having an estate sale. I need to download a few drivers but don't know which exactly my computer needs. Please help!

Double-check your laptop's serial number and SNID, then visit Acer's Drivers & Manuals page to find the appropriate drivers. If the codes don’t work, identify your model manually through the system settings or the label on your laptop. Alternatively, install Acer Care Center to detect your model and drivers automatically. If issues persist, contact Acer Support for assistance

Ignore the S/N and SNID and just use the model number when searching for drivers on the Acer site. Your full model number is usually on the same sticker as your serial number, it should look something like xxxxx-xxx-xxxx. The portion of the model number you need for those searches is the xxxxx-xxx part, leave those last four off.

If you're having trouble registering your laptop and the serial number and SNID aren't being detected, double-check the numbers, look for them on the laptop's sticker, and try using Acer Care Center or contacting Acer support.

    1. Double-Check the Numbers:
Serial Number: Acer serial numbers are 22 alpha-numeric characters and never use the letter "O".
SNID: Acer SNID numbers are 11 or 12 digits and do not contain letters.
Location: The serial number and SNID are typically located on a label on the bottom of the laptop.
    2. Utilize Acer Tools:
Acer Care Center: Install Acer Care Center, which can automatically detect your model and drivers.
Serial Number Detection Tool: Acer has a Serial Number Detection Tool that can help find the numbers.
    3. Contact Acer Support:
If you're still unable to register, reach out to Acer's customer support.
You can find their contact details on Acer's support website: https://support.acer.com.
Inform them that the laptop is showing as already registered and request them to remove it from the existing account so you can register it under your own.
