I purchased an aspire laptop yesterday and installed linux mint on it. The main reason for selecting this laptop was its backlit keyboard.

The backlight works when I am booting or using windows, but is always off under linux.

brightnessctrl does not list keyboard as a device

brightnessctl -l ─╯
