How much storage will my PHN16-71 Recognize in the number M2.0 slot?

I'm looking at getting the GM7000 Predator SSD with 4 TB to put into a Predator Helios 16 Neo (PHN16-71). I know that it's compatible with the laptop, but I've read a few comments stating that the computer would only accept the 2TB SSD's and that the 4TB wouldn't be recognized. Is this true?

What is the maximum size SSD that can be installed with full functionality in the Neo?

Also, in case availability is an issue, would this one also work?

Samsung 990 EVO Plus - 4TB PCIe Gen4. X4, Gen5. X2 NVMe 2.0 - M.2 Internal SSD, Speed Up to 7,250 MBs, Upgrade Storage for PC-Laptops, HMB Technology and Intelligent Turbowrite (MZ-V9S4T0B/AM)

Thanks!!

Under the lab condition Acer checks with the 2TB and it works well. Even a 4TB might work but cant be sure of it. But installing a 2TB will work for sure.

First of all, thanks so much for the speedy response.

Just to increase my understanding here, if I were to buy a 4tb, to try it out, what are the possibilities? Would the laptop only see the 2TB? Would the drive not work at all? Is it possible that putting 2.01TB in the drive could cause instability, or data loss?

    Possibly all of the above?

Or is it just that there is no confirmed data of a 4TB functioning because it doesn’t have the usage in the lab yet, and I may become a “test pilot”?

    Thanks in advance!
