Why can't the copilot key on my keyboard open copilot directly, and copilot is missing from the taskbar? When I bought it, it could still be used and was on the taskbar, but yesterday when I finished using it, it suddenly disappeared and couldn't be used directly to open copilot.

You have plenty of options to choose from. Whether you like using the taskbar, shortcuts, or commands, each method gives quick and easy access to Copilot.

If you can’t find Copilot on your taskbar, it’s probably because it was unpinned. You can add it back. To do so, open the Start Menu and click or tap the All button in the top-right corner. Then, locate Copilot in the list of apps. When you do, right-click or press and hold it, select More in the context menu, and click or tap Pin to taskbar. A Copilot shortcut is added to the taskbar in no time, and you can get back to using it in order to open Copilot.

You can use search to open Copilot in Windows 11, click or tap inside the search box on the taskbar, type the word Copilot, and you see a list of results. In it, click or tap Copilot. Alternatively, you can also select Copilot and click or tap Open in the right hand pane.

It’s also easy to create a Copilot shortcut on your desktop. Start by opening the Start Menu, and then press All in the top-right corner. Now, locate Copilot in the list of apps. Once you find it, click or tap and hold it, then drag it onto your desktop. Drop it by releasing the mouse button or by lifting your finger from the screen, and the Copilot shortcut is created. You can then double-click or double-tap this shortcut to open Copilot.

If you want to remap the keys, we can try to remap the Copilot key using PowerToys at the link below. Microsoft PowerToys | Microsoft Learn

Download and install the Microsoft PowerToys tool from the official Microsoft website.Open the PowerToys utility and select the Keyboard Manager tab.Click the Remap a key button.Select the Copilot key from the Physical Key drop-down menu.Select the key to which you want to remap the Copilot key from the Map to drop-down menu, and you can choose to try the same Copilot key or turn on Copilot's features (if available).Click OK to save the changes.

If the problem still persists, please refer to the link to Acer support, who will be able to provide you with more assistance on this.

Make Sure the Copilot Is Enabled. As mentioned above, the Copilot key can only work when the Copilot feature is enabled. If you have disabled the Copilot for Windows, the Copilot key may not work, or just call out other features like Windows Search or Recall.
