A315-24PT Screen goes black when connecting to Acer Predator monitor

I just purchased an A315-24PT Aspire laptop and I cannot get it to connect to my Acer Predator XB3 monitor. All my other laptops connect fine, but the screen on the Acer laptop goes black, and the monitor will flash the image on the screen really fast sometimes, but mostly stays black. I have tried uninstalling the drivers and installing them again from the AMD website to no avail. I cannot see either screen and the laptop screen only comes back on after unplugging the HDMI cable. Any ideas?

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:
    Check HDMI Cable and Ports:
Ensure the HDMI cable is securely connected to both the laptop and the monitor.
Try using a different HDMI cable to rule out any cable issues.
Test the HDMI port on your laptop with another monitor to see if the issue persists

    Update Graphics Drivers:
Make sure you have the latest graphics drivers installed. You can download the latest drivers for your model from the Aspire A315-24PT drivers or the AMD website

    Disable Fast Startup:
Sometimes, fast startup can cause issues with external displays. To disable it:
Go to Control Panel > Power Options > Choose what the power buttons do.
Click on "Change settings that are currently unavailable".
Uncheck "Turn on fast startup" and save changes.

    BIOS Update:
Check if there is a BIOS update available for your laptop on the Acer support website. Updating the BIOS can sometimes resolve hardware compatibility issues Aspire A315-24PT BIOS

If these steps don't resolve the issue, it might be worth contacting Acer support for further assistance.

I've updated the BIOS and no change. There is no fast startup setting that I can find. Very strange issue. I have ordered an HDMI 2.1 cable to try. I am certain this is a software issue, but cannot seem to narrow it down. The hourglass comes up as soon as I plug in the cable right before the screen goes black. The monitor seems to see something going on, but is uncontrollable when plugged in to the laptop. I have three other laptops that work with no issue, but this one is the only one with windows 11.

Right-click on the desktop and select "Display settings" on other computers to check the Settings and resolution. This will ensure that the monitor is detected and set to the correct resolution and refresh rate.
Try changing the display mode (e.g., Extend, Duplicate, Second screen only) to see if it makes a difference

Boot your laptop into Safe Mode to see if the issue persists. If it doesn't, there might be a software conflict causing the problem. To boot into Safe Mode, press Shift while clicking "Restart" from the Start menu, then select "Troubleshoot > Advanced options > Startup Settings > Restart". After the restart, select option 4 or press F4 to boot into Safe Mode

If these steps don't resolve the issue, it might be worth checking with Acer support for further assistance.
