I updated Windows. I have looked on the Acer website but the only things related to audio are the audio drivers which are already installed. There's no mention of HDMI on any of the drivers in the list.

I have updated my nvidia drivers so that HDMI functionality is enabled. Still the laptop won't detect it. I don't get it.

I don't know why I can't edit my post but I'm going to add that I have one end of the the HDMI cable connected to the back of my video card and the other end into the laptop. So the video and audio of what game I'm playing gets sent to the laptop. Is the HDMI port on the laptop an input?
