Acer PO3-630 RAM sticks running at 2400MT/s, Is it worth adding 48GB total?

Hi, I have an Acer PO3-630, which originally came with 2x 8GB RAM sticks in slots 2/4. I recently bought 2x 16GB new sticks from Kingston, but they only run at 2400MT/s, while the old ones were running at 3200MT/s. This slowdown is apparently due to XMP OC incompatibility. I also read somewhere that the old ones had CL20 or CL22, while the new ones are CL16.

So my question is: which ones are better to keep? Would it even make sense to add the old sticks back in to have a total of 48GB? I read that it might be pointless. The BIOS doesn’t have any manual options for changing RAM settings or anything RAM-related – version ROI-A4 EC Firmware 1.01 04/10/2021.

I feel like I made a bad purchase :(

PS. Switching slots from 2/4 to 1/2 didn’t change anything. Thanks!

Mixing different RAM sticks can lead to instability and lower performance, as the system will likely run all the RAM at the speed and latency of the slowest stick (2400MT/s in this case). Adding the old sticks back in to have a total of 48GB might not be beneficial due to potential compatibility issues. It's generally best to use identical RAM modules to ensure optimal performance and stability.

Send the memory back and buy sticks with a JEDEC profile of 3200 in the sizes you prefer.
