500 GB SSD not visible in Acronis for cloning after BIOS update on Acer Travelmate P416-51

Hi. I have Acer Travelmate P416-51. It comes with the 500GB SSD and I'm trying to upgrade to 1TB SSD. I have bootable Acronis usb drive for the cloning.

I have updated my BIOS to enable USB booting.
I was able to boot to Acronis boot image and trying to select 500GB as the source of cloning.

However, I do not see my 500GB SSD. I see other disks (the target, 1TB SSD, and the 2GB Acronis disk).

I'm guessing that security feature of the 500GB SSD is preventing Acronis from seeing the disk. How do I disable this so that it shows up on my source disk list?

Thank you.

I'm guessing you didn't go the normal route of using an external NVMe case for the new drive, then cloning from Windows? Likely the Acronis boot flash drive doesn't have IRST driver from Intel installed, which is why it can't see any drives. Check their documentation on how to install those drivers and you should be able to get through the process.

I do have external NVMe case where I have my 1TB target SSD…. my plan was to clone my internal 500GB to the 1TB in external NVMe case through USB drive. When I ran Acronis, I can see 1TB… but don't see 500GB.

How do I clone fro Windows? Control Pane > Back up and Restore seems to offer Windows Back up, Create a system image, and Create a system repair disc… which doesn't sound like a cloning option.

Thank you! I downloaded Macrium Reflect 30 day free trial version, installed it in windows and was able to clone my drive.

Perfect. I also used Macrium Reflect the last time I did a clone without issues, though it was the free version rather than the trial.
