Hello again, it's been three months since I bought this new Acer product, and in these three months I haven't had a single day without pain, and since I bought this laptop until today, I've always had the blue screen of death problem with me, and I've done everything you can think of, and the problem is still there.

I have been using different laptops and computers for years and I have never faced so many problems and I have to admit that this laptop bothered me a lot.

I installed all the drivers from the partition that Acer company gave me, and I updated all of them from Acer's website, and I did not do anything unprincipled on the laptop, and I installed Windows 11 pro, and from time to time, Windows crashes, sometimes in some games, and sometimes in its own environment, Windows crashes by itself without me doing anything at all.

And I noticed that when my laptop is on battery and not plugged in it works fine without any problems and without a single crash.

All the drivers of my laptop are installed correctly and downloaded and updated from Acer's website, and my Windows is the latest version of Windows 11 Pro, and my BIOS is the latest version 1.16, and I only use the Steam platform to play games and Microsoft Office software, and nothing else is installed on the laptop.

It has been three whole months that I have been facing the blue screen of death and I have not found any way to solve my problem and this situation is really unacceptable because I have used laptops from companies
I had dell, Lenovo, Asus, Sony and I never had so many problems

Please, please, if any of you have this laptop and have been able to solve the problem, please help me, I'm really tired of not getting any results.

You can contact local Acer for the warranty. It could be thermal issue or others.

@AnhEZ28 Hello, unfortunately, I live in Iran and Acer does not have an office or an official sales branch in this country, and I don't think that the parts of a new and new laptop can easily suffer from hardware problems.

Try resetting the Windows using Reset this PC function. You can contact the retailer that you bought the laptop from for the warranty.

The PHN16-72 is a great Acer high end gaming laptop and you should not be having any BSOD crashes, I don't know if you have set this laptop up properly with updates or bios files and/or you have access in Iran to all the Win-11 updates and Acer Predator PHN16-72 support page or if the internet is censored there, but what you need to make sure that your laptop has is the following:

    1. Update bios to version 1.16 to fix all the 14th Gen cpu issues and hardware issues of the PHN16-72.
    2. Make sure that you have Win-11 version 24H2 and all its updates to OS build: 26100.3194 installed.
    3. Make sure that you have the NVidia graphics latest driver installed.
    4. Install the NVidia GeForce Experience software also for all gaming and NVidia gpu driver updates.

Doing all the above should stop your PHN16-72 from crashing and having any BSODs, if it doesn't then please take a caption of the BSOD crash error blue screen with your phone and send that error cation to the community for further advice. Good luck and hope this helps you out.

The bios has to install, as if it doesn't then reinstall the Win-11 24H2 version and all its updates and then update the bios version 1.16 as you need the bios also for this laptop to function properly, Good Luck.

One of the most common errors your computer may experience is the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) error. This error occurs when the operating system encounters a critical error that it cannot recover from. When this happens, the Windows crashes and displays a blue screen with an error message.

While Windows 11 has been designed to be more stable and reliable than previous versions, there is always a risk of encountering a BSOD error. Various reasons such as software conflicts, hardware issues, or corrupted system files can all cause your computer to bluescreen. Windows 11 includes new features to minimize the risk of BSOD errors, such as improved error handling and more robust memory management. If you encounter a blue screen, you can try the troubleshooting steps below to resolve the issue.

Restart your computer: Sometimes the BSOD is just a temporary glitch, and restarting your computer can resolve the issue.
Check for updates: Make sure that your Windows 11 is up-to-date with the latest updates and patches. Microsoft often releases updates that address security issues and bugs that can cause BSOD.
Run a virus scan: Use Windows Defender or your antivirus software to scan your system for any malware that may be causing the BSOD.
Uninstall recently installed software or hardware: If you recently installed new software or hardware before the BSOD started to appear, try uninstalling it and see if the problem persists.
Restore your operating system: If you are getting persistent BSODs and are unable to identify the root cause of the problem, you can try restoring your operating to factory settings. Make sure you choose the option to Keep My Files so you do not lose your information during this process.

@Axxo Thank you for responding. I had read your explanations before and tried all the methods. I feel this is a small issue that I haven't identified because the blue screen of death occurs under specific conditions. For example, when I use my laptop on battery, I do not face this problem at all. However, when I use it on AC power, I can play games like Counter-Strike 2 with the highest graphics settings for hours without any issue. But when I perform tasks in the Windows environment with the Predator Sense in gaming mode, suddenly the blue screen of death appears.

@StevenGen thx man Do you think these issues might be caused by the addition of a 1TB SSD and 16GB RAM to my laptop? I used the company's recommended brand, and the parts are new. Now i have 32 gb ram 5600 and 2 TB ssd

I have noticed that other users have encountered similar strange issues with this model, and there is no convincing explanation for it.

The new 32GB DD5-5600MT/s CL46 type ram and a 2TB Gen 4 x4 M.2 SSD will not cause a BSOD, What I've found with 64GB ram with my PHN16-71 model is that the laptop runs a bit cooler as it doesn't work as hard as its got plenty of ram for every application. Next time when you get a BSOD, take a caption of the error code and post it here and let the members advice you on the error code.

I've been using the previous and excellent PHN16-71 model since late November 2024 which I've upgraded its bios to version 1.18, I also did a clean install of Win-11 24H2 as this has 23H2 without the update and I did a clean install to its last OS build.

I upgraded the ram to 64GB Crucial type ram @ 2x 32GB DDR5-4800MT/s CL40 and 1TB Samsung 990 Pro NVMe + Heatsink M.2 SSD with a i5-13500HX / RTX4050 6GB gpu and I've never ever encountered any problems, and I play allot of high end racing games on Stream with a Thrustmaster T248 steering wheel for hours, which are racing games like F1-24, Assetto Corsa Competizione, Le Mans Ultimate and Need For Speed Unbound and I also like Battlefield V and Sniper Elite Resistance. may try all that I've done and see if the BSODs stop. Good luck.
