I don't understand the soldered memory, I bought acer swift 3 sf 314-41-R71B as an 8gb RAM but as I check with a software, I have 2 slots 1 with 4gb and 1 empty slot, with another software I have 1 empty slot and 6 GB RAM! what do I have in my computer and how to make my RAM bigger and how much (8 GB DDR4?)? Thank you for the answer.

This means you can add up to 8GB of DDR4 RAM in this slot, bringing the total maximum RAM to 12GB. The recommended RAM speed is DDR4-2666MHz. Some users have successfully installed a 16GB Ram module to a total of 20GB RAM, but I advise the Acer recommended 12GB Total RAM.

The recommended memory specs and RAM modules for an upgrade are as follows: stick to these recommended specs only, as adding another memory DIMM module will make your laptop operate in Dual Channel mode.

Thank you for your answers, i did it and inside there was indeed a 4GB sodimm already and i 've changed it for a 8GB (not easy to open the computer) and now i have a 12GB ram (there was only one slot ). I have as well an M.2nvme stockage, i might change it , how much can i upgrade?512GB or more?Thank you very much.
Yes, your SF314-41 uses an NVMe drive in the SSD slot. You can put whatever size you can afford there. They shipped with 256GB and 512GB drives, but 1TB, 2TB or even larger will work fine.
