The brand-new Go15 laptop charged the battery initially, but it will not charge now. Checked the power supply voltage which is ok. Tried resetting by pressing the power button for 15 seconds, still not working.

Hi, there is a small pinhole in the back of your laptop (with a battery sign), stick a pin in that hole till you feel it click (micro switch), keep pressing the pin for a few seconds. This will reset the battery.

First, inspect the charging port for any debris or damage that might be preventing a proper connection. Next, plug your laptop into a different power outlet to rule out any issues with the outlet itself. Also, check the power adapter and cable for any signs of damage, such as frayed wires or bent connectors. If you find any issues, consider replacing the adapter or cable.

If the problem persists, try resetting the battery by disconnecting the power adapter, removing the battery (if it's removable), and holding down the power button for about 15 seconds. Reinsert the battery and try charging again. Sometimes updating the BIOS can resolve charging issues. Finally, go to your laptop's power settings and ensure that the power plan is not set to limit charging.

Thanks for your comments, Puraw and Diya1811. I resolved my problem, but it appears that I created the problem myself. The connector pin from the adapter is a 3mm pin, and I just did not have it pushed home fully. It slides in easily, but it needs a little bit of effort to push home fully. My previous Aspire had a 5.5mm connector pin, which was more solid and did not take as much effort. Thanks again.
