My AN517-51 is not charging when the graphics card use goes above 40%

as the question says, whenever my graphics card use goes above 40% on the task manager the power supply disconnects. it has no issue charging any other time. the voltage on the power supply is still good, but I can't check its current, though usually when the voltage is still good the current should be good too. I am wondering if it is something to do with the internal power connection, the part that the power supply plugs into to charge the battery, but I can't say for sure what else it could be. I have already checked any and all potential software problems that could lead to this issue, all drivers and other updatable software is up to date. so whatever the problem is is hardware.

On some laptops, the battery might not charge when the system is under full load due to insufficient power from the AC adapter. When the processor and GPU are heavily used, they can consume most of the available power, leaving none for charging the battery. This issue is more common in High Performance mode, as the system requires more power for faster operation.

Have you switched from high performance mode? Click on the battery icon, go to 'More power options,' and check if you're on 'Balanced.' If not, select 'Change plan settings,' then 'Change advanced power settings,' and switch from 'High performance' to 'Balanced.' This might resolve your battery issue. If it doesn't, consider trying a new charger. Keeping it on 'Balanced' usually works better.
