acer swift model SF514-55TA, my browser and system randomly scroll and zooms in/out

in Swift and Spin Series

Had a crank on my laptop screen which was replaced by acer as it was under warranty. But since then, my browser as well as laptop system randomly scrolls and zooms in/out and freezes. Took back to Acer service centre and was told they didn't update the BIOS? when replacing the new screen. They updated the BIOS/drive But after all that, the problem still persist.

    You can go back to the service center and show to them that the problem is not solved.

    Sounds like they didn't get the touchscreen cable seated well. That's a ZIF connector up near the hinge:

    1. Right click with your mouse 2. Select “Quick actions” 3. Type “Wheel” 4. Uncheck “Use scroll wheel zoom” option and check if the problem is gone.
