I don't know if you realize what a gpu upgrade entails, but for a gpu upgrade you need a suitable PSU that can handle the RTX 5080 power requirements and the desktop power also. Nvidia recommends an 850W PSU for any RTX5080 build. So, if you're building a new setup, it is better to go for a higher-capacity ATX 3.1 and PCIe 5.1 PSU that comes with a 24pin main power plug, 12V at 2×6 cable to deliver power to the gpu for its total graphics power of 360W using a single cable and should also ensure more overhead for future upgrades.

Your Nitro N50-640 has a mobo with 1x main power plug and an ATX_POWER1 - 6-pin ATX power connector and 1x ATX_12V - Auxiliary 8-pin power connector that the N50-640 Acer proprietary PSU of 500W.100-127/220-240V~8/4A 50-60Hz also has and it cant be upgraded to the new 24pin modern modular PSUs on the market today.

You would be much better off building or getting a new desktop with the new RTX5080 as the Nitro N50-640 is not one of those desktops to fit an RTX5080 gpu to. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
