SFG16-72T laptop fan randomly ramps up to max speed for 10 seconds, what app controls fan speed?

My laptop is only one month old, and when idle with basically zero apps running other than maybe firefox, it will just randomly ramp up the fan to max speed for a 10seconds seconds and then stop. What app controls fanspeed?

    Fan speed is controlled by the BIOS, not an app. You might be able to change which fan table is used, they often have normal, silent and performance options. That would likely be set in Acer Care Center.

    I don't see an option for normal, silent, or performance in Acer Care Center. Acer sense does have those options though

    See this guide here How to control Fan Speed on Windows and use a 3rd party fan speed control app. as Acer does not have any app for fan speed control for your SFG16-72T laptop. Good luck and hope this helps you out further.
