I believe the model is ACTABKBL1024. It's 10.1" inches and branded as a kids tablet. I've had it for two months and everything was fine up until two days ago when it mysteriously began shutting down at 40% battery and then 50% battery. I performed a factory reset, but the problem still persists. I took it to the store I bought it from after seeing recent reviews for the tablet are all mentioning the tablet shutting itself off whilst still charged. The store told us it's a known issue with Acer and that they're trying to come up with a update or some kind of code to fix it but I'm very worried, as never had this happen before. The store told us to just keep the tablet charged above 50% and wait for the fix by Acer. I find this a little strange as the last update was from September 2024 and I had absolutely no problems with it until a two days ago. The store said they would not send it away for repair or exchange yet as they're waiting for Acer to fix the problem. Any advice? Many thanks.

I believe that is a Curry's only model, where they negotiated special pricing by promising to provide all support directly. We don't have access to any support details. Try asking them… There won't be anything from Acer directly on it.

Im finding it hard to get any help as Currys have explained what's happening on their behalf, saying they can't do anything about it and I can't contact Acer by email at the moment as it's not even recognising the serial number of the tablet. I guess calling them is the only option left. That, or talking to Currys again though I doubt anything will change on their side.
