When i plug in the charger the battery goes from 10% to 100% in 10 mins but when i unplug the charger it takes only 7 minutes until it's back to around 10% again. Do i have to get the battery replaced or is it somehow fixable??

It sounds like your laptop battery might be experiencing some issues. Here are a few steps you can try to diagnose and potentially fix the problem:

    Calibrate the Battery:

Fully charge your laptop to 100%. Unplug the charger and let the battery drain completely until the laptop shuts down. Charge it back to 100% without interruption. This process can help recalibrate the battery and improve its accuracy

    Check for Battery Health:

Use built-in tools like Windows Battery Report or third-party software to check the health of your battery. This can give you an idea of whether the battery is still in good condition or if it needs replacement

Update BIOS and Drivers: Ensure your BIOS and battery drivers are up to date. Sometimes, outdated software can cause battery issues

Run Power Troubleshooter: Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters and run the Power troubleshooter. This can help identify and fix power-related issues

If these steps don't resolve the issue, it's likely that your battery might be failing and needs to be replaced. Laptop batteries degrade over time, and after a year or more of use, they can start to lose their capacity significantly.

You can contact Acer support or visit a professional repair service to get a replacement battery. If your laptop is still under warranty, the replacement might be covered.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊

Are you using any battery Limiting bloatware or the ACC battery charge limiting option? If so disable or uninstall those programs. This is a new battery and adapter so there should not be a power issue. Try this and if still no progress, bring your laptop to Acer Services in your country, don't open the laptop to disconnect the battery as that will void the Acer warranty.

Disconnect the power adapter and insert a pin in the pinhole at the back of the laptop (pinhole has a small battery sign next to it) press the pin till you feel it click and keep it depressed for a few seconds. Plug-in the adapter and boot to BIOS with F2, press F9 that resets BIOS and save settings on exit. Boot to Windows and open Device Manager, uninstall these two battery drivers:

First, try calibrating your battery. This involves fully charging your laptop to 100%, then using it unplugged until it shuts down automatically. Repeat this process a few times to recalibrate the battery. Secondly, reset your power plan settings by going to Control Panel > Power Options, selecting the "Balanced" plan, and resetting it to factory defaults. Additionally, ensure your BIOS is up to date, as updates can sometimes fix power management issues. Lastly, inspect the charging port and cable for any damage or loose connections.
