compatability question for veriton m4630g because i got short on buying new mobo

Can i pare my veriton m4630g with rx 580? and im planning to buy a converter 12-24 pin

    Both the 12 pin and 24 pin power supply pinouts are well understood, so an adapter cable should not be an issue. Here is the pinout of your power connector:

    And this is the newer 24 pin version:

    So everything that is in the 12 pin is also in the 24 pin…

    An RX 580 is certainly going to need more power than the 300W supply you have can do, it look like you need at least a 450W and likely better to have 500W. I assume you are getting the RX 480 really cheap? As you know, you will need a new PSU and an adapter cable, but those should be the only hurdles….

    is it safe to use 12-24 pin connector? because my mobo only has 12pin and i'm kinda scared to try i might fry my mobo and gpu?
