I have a new Aspire Laptop A315-44P. It worked great until last week when the touchpad stopped working and the touchpad driver is no longer installed! I can't find the touchpad driver on the Acer website. Can you help? Thanks!

    Hi @siamduncan

Here are some steps you can follow to resolve this problem:

    1. Download the Touchpad Driver:
      • Visit the Acer Support page for Aspire A315-44P
      • Enter your laptop's serial number or model number to find the correct drivers.
      • Download the touchpad driver from the list of available drivers.
    2. Install the Driver:
      • Once downloaded, open the driver file and follow the on-screen instructions to install it.
      • Restart your laptop after the installation is complete.
    3. Check Device Manager:
      • Press Win + X and select "Device Manager."
      • Expand the "Mice and other pointing devices" section.
      • Right-click on the touchpad device and select "Update driver."
      • Choose "Search automatically for updated driver software."
    4. Enable Touchpad in BIOS:
      • Restart your laptop and enter the BIOS/UEFI settings (usually by pressing F2 or Del during startup).
      • Look for touchpad settings and ensure it is enabled.
      • Save and exit the BIOS settings.

If these steps don't resolve the issue, you might want to contact Acer support for further assistance. They can provide more specific troubleshooting steps or determine if there is a hardware issue that needs to be addressed.

I hope this helps! If this was useful, please hit 'Yes' or 'Like'! Thanks! 😊
