Hello everyone,

I’m reaching out to the community to get some clarification about the AC16A8N battery and its compatibility with the Acer Aspire VN7-791. I’ve seen that this battery is commonly listed as compatible with models like the VN7-791G and VN7-793G, but I’m unsure if it will also work with my specific version of the VN7-791.

Details:

  • Battery Model: AC16A8N
  • Capacity: 69Wh (6-cell)
  • Expected Runtime: Longer than the standard 4-cell, 52.5Wh battery

I’m interested in replacing my original 4-cell battery with this higher-capacity 6-cell option, as I’m hoping for longer battery life (8-10 hours). However, before purchasing, I’d like to make sure this battery will fit my laptop and work correctly.

Has anyone here used the AC16A8N with their VN7-791 (or similar models)? If so, could you share your experience regarding fit, functionality, and battery life improvements?

Additional Questions:

  • If you’ve installed a different high-capacity battery in your VN7-791, what model did you use, and how was the performance?
  • Any issues with charging or battery detection after switching?

I appreciate any feedback or advice from the community!

Thanks in advance!

The AC16A8N battery will have different size and screw holes compared to the original AC14A8L battery.

If the previous one has worn out, you can only replace it with the same AC14A8L battery. It is recommended to keep the laptop plugged all the time while you are using it so that the battery will have less wear level.

To extend the battery time, close all the background apps, lower the brightness, and turn on the energy-saving mode.
