Hi your GPU consumes 115 Watt, with a 70 Wh battery that will provide only 30 minutes battery backup when gaming, when online and Best Power Efficiency mode enabled in Power & Battery settings, I estimate 2-3 hours lifespan that you also observed. Keep the power adapter plugged in, don't use a USB-C charger and keep the battery 100% charged at all times. Also check in Task Manager-processes how many apps are running in the background, if more than 80 processes, uninstall programs you don't use.

For a 4060 display card laptop, 2.5 hours is pretty normal on battery. You could try disabling hardware acceleration on your browser and see if that helps.

To potentially improve your battery life, you can try lowering the screen brightness and switching to the "Balanced" or "Power Saver" plan in Windows. Disabling unnecessary services and startup programs, as well as turning off Bluetooth and Wi-Fi when not in use, can also help conserve battery. Ensuring that your GPU and CPU drivers are up to date can optimize performance and efficiency. Additionally, regular battery maintenance, such as calibrating your battery and avoiding letting it discharge completely, can help.

The battery life of Acer Nitro laptops varies depending on the model and usage. Generally speaking, the Acer Nitro 5 has a battery life of between 5 and 8 hours, but when gaming, the battery life may drop to 2 to 3 hours. For a gaming laptop, this battery life is acceptable.
