Browser and Discord windows partially freezing on Acer Nitro V15

I got a new Nitro V15 recently, and for some reason the window for my browser and Discord partially freeze, with only small parts of the window continuing to change when I do things like scroll or change tabs. Changing the focused window (like by tabbing out and back in, or trying to take a screen shot) fixes it temporarily, and clean booting also fixes it (though using my computer on clean boot feels unpleasant for some reason). I've also noticed that it seems to get much worse at night.

The screen also occasionally fully freezes for a minute-ish but this is much rarer.

Things I've tried: sfc /scannow, updating drivers, and clean booting.

This is urgent as the warranty for the computer expires on the 31st!

Update: Just talked to support, updating the BIOS seemed to fix it. Also, the warranty doesn't expire on the 31st, so that's good!

    1. Check for Hardware Issues: Freezing and system crashes can sometimes be caused by faulty hardware. Perform a thorough check of your hardware components, including RAM, hard drive, and CPU, for any issues. You can use built-in Windows tools like "Memory Diagnostic" and "Device Manager" to help diagnose hardware problems.
    2. Check for Overheating: Overheating can cause the system to freeze or shut down unexpectedly. Ensure that your laptop's cooling system is working correctly and that the air vents are not blocked. You can use third-party software to monitor the temperature of your CPU and GPU to see if overheating is an issue.
    3. Check for Conflicting Software: Sometimes, third-party software or background applications can conflict with the operating system, leading to freezing issues. Try performing a clean boot to start your computer with only essential services and drivers, which can help identify if any third-party software is causing the problem.

A “clean boot” starts Windows with a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. It helps to determine whether a background service is interfering with your game or program and to isolate the cause of a problem. These steps of "clean boot" might look complicated at first glance. However, to avoid any trouble for you, please follow them in order and step-by step so that it will help you get back on track.
