    @HeyBoring

    your Chromebook password is the same as your Google password

    Once try to reset the Google password and than try to login to Chromebook or follow the below step

    Enter your current password, then enter and confirm a new password. Your Chromebook and Google passwords are the same. Change your password from any device logged in to your Google account

    You have a different account on your Chromebook than you have for your Google logon. Just use the same for both.

    I am using my google email as my acer login.

    I recently changed my google password (accounts.google.com), but that password is not valid to login to the acer…only my old password.

    This is baffling me!

    It sounds like your Chromebook isn't getting on the internet to validate your entered password, so using the cached version instead.

    Unless I am not understanding you, I am currently typing this reply on the internet just fine…

    It needs to be connected to the internet during the login process in order to retrieve credentialing information from Google. If it doesn't connect to the internet under your profile is loaded, then it wouldn't pull that up and would use the cached credentials fro your previous sessions. I don't know why it wouldn't connect soon enough to read Google's info, but that would be the most common reason for your symptoms.
