My new xc-1785 (bios 1.05) Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-14400 2.50 GHz have two 16 GB DDR5 5600 CL46 memory modules installed.

Bios will automatically choose to run them as 4800 CL40.
Same thing happen with only the original Kingston memory module installed.

Is there a reason for this behavior? Like 5600 is not supported? Or choosen automatically for stability? Or some other reason?

Not a big issue. Extensive memory testing with MemTest86 show no errors. Everyting work just fine.

There is only a slight perfomance reduction, but it would be nice to know why this is hamppening.
