Is mode lock normal in Predator PHN16-71? Plugged in, but performance would not change from normal.

The laptop was plugged in, but the scenario would not change from normal to performance as the battery was under 40%. Is this normal? I am using Predator PHN16-71.

Hi, I have the same laptop, PHN16-71-50JG, This behavior is normal, you will see a popup that the power mode will change from Normal once the battery charge is above 40%. Another related thing I noted is that when Power mode is set to Best Power Efficiency in Power & Battery settings, both when on battery or with the adapter plugged in, the screen will turn off after 3 minutes even if the Advanced Power settings are on Never turn off the screen. When on Basic mode no issues.
