Acer swift SFG14-72 gpu driver update information

hello,

i have a acer laptop swift SFG14-72 (only intel gpu, intel ultra 7 155h cpu)
Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 Processor 155H

my laptop gpu driver version is: 30.0.101.5007

i want to use gpu cycles in blender for that blender needs gpu driver version xx.x.1001.5518

i checked and there is no driver update in acer sense app nor via windows update

1. it is possible to update the driver directly via intel?
2. is there a planned gpu driver update release for this laptop model? if so when?

Hi,

1.Yes, you can use driver from Intel.

2. I don't know because I am not working for Acer, most of the members

like me are helping other users of Acer products.

Yes, you do have to tell Intel Driver and Support Assistant that it's OK to install the generic driver, and you might end up jumping through some hoops to get Windows update to not try and down-rev it again, but you can use the latest driver through Intel without waiting for an Acer update.
