Hello,

I've had my Acer Swift 3 laptop since 2021.

A couple of months ago it suddenly wouldn't Turn on anymore: Black screen, no sound, keyboard didn't Light up, etc.

I thought it was because there was no battery anymore but when plugging it in, no reaction.

I tried the reset button at thz back, holding down the poker button etc, nothing would do.

Two weeks later as I was about to send it for repair it mariculously Turned back on. I scanned it etc but no particular issue raison.

Now it's happening again :( I shut it down a couple of days ago and as I tried Turing it back on today, nothing: Black screen, no reaction, and I tried the same things as Last time.

Has anybody encountered the same issue? Do you have solutions to solve this issue on the long term?

Thanks a LOT in advance for your help!

Hi @Clem_ these types of intermittent problems are difficult to evaluate. It may be a power supply problem or an electrolytic capacitor related to this, since they tend to have this type of behavior. They are elements that charge and discharge energy, but I don't know. This should be verified by a technical service.Wait for more answers that can offer more information.

There is a battery reset procedure you can follow that usually will fix that type of issue, if it's caused by the battery reporting bogus data as to it's charge status. Disconnect the charger and all peripherals then press and hold the battery rest button under that pin hole for 15 seconds or longer. Then wait for at least 15 minutes before plugging the charger back in. Wait again until the battery indicates a full charge by turning the light blue. Then try turning it back on normally.
