After replacing my battery on AN515-54, why does the orange light blink when charging to 100%?

Laptop is AN515-54. I bought a new battery because the old one was 5 years old and dying. Now with the new battery, when I charge it to 100% the orange light would start blinking instead of turning into steady blue like the old one. Eventually it will turn to a steady blue as well after a while. So when charging I'll have both steady orange and blue light at the same time like normal, but when it reaches 100% the orange one would start to blink for a while instead of turning to steady blue. Is this a problem?

    But like I said, eventually it will turn into steady blue like expected after a while. But I don't remember having this blinking thing with my old battery. I have made sure that the new battery matches the model of the old battery as well.

    Laptop chargers feature one or two small but visible indicators. These indicators use LED light to ‘communicate’ their meaning when a charger is plugged in. For instance, a solid LED light will indicate that your laptop charger is powered and working normally.

    If your battery charger blinks when it’s plugged in, it can be an indication that something is wrong with the adapter or battery, but it could also be an indication of low battery levels. The meaning of the blinking varies depending on the model and make of your laptop, and the color of the light.

    Here are few reasons why your laptop charging light is blinking:

    • BIOS update issues
    • Incorrectly installed battery
    • Dust trapped inside the battery slots
    • Outdated battery drivers
    • Faulty AC adapters
    • Software issues

    To fix this issue, you will need to do the following;

    • Shut down your laptop
    • Remove the AC adapter and battery
    • Press and hold the laptop’s power button for 20 to 30 seconds.
    • Replace the AC adapter and battery
    • Boot up your laptop

    I adjusted the connector head that connects to my laptop and it was fixed, the light turned blue and stopped blinking. But now I wonder if this slightly off connector head might have damaged my old battery (though the old battery was already 5 years old) and potentially will damage this new battery? But the charge is always at 100% though..

    I discharged the battery to 60ish% and charged it to 100% again and the indicator went orange and blinking again..hmm
