Hello! I have this problem that its really bothering me. My laptop(Acer Nitro 5 AN515-57) randomly starts running at 1 fps, everything starts lagging, the game, windows, even the alt tab and right click on windows screen, when playing some games(Roblox, Valorant etc) and I have no idea why. The temperatures are fine, not even going above 75'C when playing Valorant and around 65'C when playing Roblox. And what I did when this happened was restart my laptop, but for some reason I can also make it run normal again by switching CoolBoost on and off from NitroSense which again makes no sense to me.

Its not even a bad laptop and I think everyone can run Roblox…

SPECS: i5 11400h, RTX 3050ti, 16gb ram

Make sure that you have the last bios version 1.20 for the AN515-57 laptop installed, and update Win-11 to version 24H2 all updates installed to OS build 26100.2605, then install GeForce Experience software and scan your system so this software installs the last Game ready gpu driver for your laptop and also play the Roblox, Valorant games through this software’s settings, as they are supported by NVidia.

Doing all the above will make sure that your gpu and laptop performs perfectly and to its best, otherwise your gpu has a problem with its vram or similar circuitries that are possibly fried, as a last resort after doing all the above and if your fps don’t improve, go into Device Manager > Display adapters and uninstall the NVidia gpu driver and reboot the laptop and see if the gpu reengages properly and works 100%. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
