Acer Swift Go 14-After the Windows update (24H2) it is causing Wi-Fi issues.

I installed the new windows 11 24H2 update about a week and for whatever reason my wifi drivers have stopped working (specifically the Killer (R) Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i). The wifi option itself no longer appears.

I have tried a number of the solutions listed on this forum involving troubleshooting, a network reset, entering the netsh/ipconfig commands on CMD for TCP/IP reset, uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers, restarted the router (not the modem, but I don't think this should be an issue as other devices seem to connect just fine) and nothing seems to be working. I didn't realize that I hadn't approved system restore, so I don't have a restoration point I can restore to. Uninstalling the update doesn't seem to be doing anything either (I am fairly sure that I uninstalled the correct update, but I could be wrong).

I have an Acer Swift Go 14 device (i7-1355u). I am not super technically adept, so I am not sure the following will cause any issues with connecting or not, but I have the Cisco AnyConnect Adapter driver, a VPN driver (Tunnel Bear), the Bluetooth Personal Area Network driver, a Realtek USB driver, and a bunch of WAN Miniport drivers as part of my network drivers.

Currently, I can only connect to the internet via an Ethernet connection.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi, if your model is Acer Swift Go 14 SFG14-71T-72QV? and have BIOS version 1.09 from 2024/11/05 installed and the upgrade to 24H2 was done automatically by WU and not manually installed with an ISO file, Wi-Fi should be fine as this system is 100% compatible with Windows11 24H2. I believe the Wi-Fi problem is caused by Cisco AnyConnect Adapter driver, a VPN driver (Tunnel Bear), the Bluetooth Personal Area Network driver, disable all these devices in Device manager, turn off VPN and reboot. If Wi-Fi is working OK don't use these adapters.

It would be allot more informative if you told us what your exact Swift laptop model number. is? I suggest that after all the windows update of Win-11 24H2 version of your OS and drivers should be perfect and up to date and working 100%, btw, I've been using a Swift SFX14-51G with this 24H2 update since it was relesed and did an ,ISO update NOT a windows update, and my Swift works perfectly with no issue, maybe you should do that as the windows update could has corrupted the system somehow.

Try refreshing the Wi-Fi/BT drivers and see if they will reengage and work properly and not disconnect, as with the Wi-Fi/BT card there is no magic if their drivers work or not as its either the drivers are not installed properly, or the card is faulty or your router is faulty which the last two faults don't happen very often but can happen and be a reason for the Wi-Fi/BT not to work.

Do the Wi-Fi and BT refresh of drivers like below, example is for Wi-Fi:

Go to > Device Manager > Network adapters > select Wi-Fi card > right click the card Properties > Driver > Update Driver > Browse my computer for drivers > Let me pick from a list of available drivers on my computer > and then pick the last and most recent dated Wi-Fi driver that is in that list, and reinstall that driver, as afterwards your Wi-Fi should work.

Thanks so much for the reply! It is indeed that model. This seems to have solved the issue, I will check back again and see if it continues to work, but it seems to be fine right now. Any idea why these drivers might cause issues?

Thanks so much for the reply! The model I have is the Acer Swift Go 14 SFG14-71T. One of the other commentors solutions had worked. Just for reference though, I had tried this solution earlier and it didn't seem to work. The work around that I ended up using was to disable one of the bluetooth drivers (the personal area one) and deleting the VPN driver.

Thanks so much for the reply! For now the driver seems to be working and no error pops up. In case this changes, I will upload a photo. For reference though, the only driver that was showing the error initially was the Killer (R) Wi-Fi 6E AX1675i.

Thanks for the reply again. But I think I may have spoken a bit prematurely, unfortunately the wifi seems to have stopped working again 😓. Any ideas potentially?

Your Swift Go 14 SFG14-71T Wi-Fi card the Killer AX1675i AX211.NGWG.NVX and if it has a code 43 error you should firstly make sure that the driver is properly installed and its the correct driver,

Go to Acer support page for the SFG14-71T and install the oem Acer provided driver for the Killer Intel AX1675 Wi-Fi card which is driver 23.30.0.6 and install this driver first, and see if the Wi-Fi works, as afterwards windows update will install the most up to date and compatible driver for this card anyway, as Acer tested this card with this driver and it should work 100% and flawlessly.

If you are still having the code 43 error after all that you have done above, then its the card that is faulty and the simplest fix is to get a new card for your Swift Go 14 SFG14-71T and fit the other Wi-Fi/BT card that is listed and highlighted below for this laptop which could work better, Good luck and hope this helps you put.

Try to do the power reset: turn off the laptop, unplug the charger, and hold the power button for 10 seconds.

It sounds as if there is something that's corrupting the driver settings. Try first, as suggested, the original driver from Acer, then try updated drivers from Microsoft, if available, or from Intel.
