Hello, I recently bought a nitro v15, without a previous os and installed EndevourOS, an arch distro. It seems that the laptop doesnt work well with the distribution due to I am guessing driver problems as the screen keeps flickering or just not turning on even when the laptop is working. Is there any distribution that is reccomended for this version of laptops or do I have to use windows?

I have run a troubleshooter and checked the parts both myself and at a repair shop and the hardware is intact, they also reccomended that it must be a driver problem as they have seen it happen with a few other laptops that ran linux. I am not particularly happy with going back to windows If i can help it.

This is my first migration to Acer so i am not sure about driver support, thank you in advance.

    Welcome @Alxsai,

Check that the UEFI firmware of your Nitro V15 ANV15-51 is updated with the latest available version (1.21 or above):

I updated to the latest version as was shown on the support page for my snid. Now additionally is there any preference for linux when it comes to acer? I read in some other forums that ubuntu has full driver support, Is this the case with arch as well?

In general, when it comes to Linux, you need to think about a Distro that has good support for the hardware it will be installed on. You need to test several until you find the one that best suits your needs.
