Problems with GPU performance in games after Nvidia Driver update AN515-57, fps drops after restart
Tinkerer
Hi, I have been facing a problem for some time, or at least since updating the latest Nvidia drivers. Specifically, when on a clean install of the graphics drivers I do not reset the laptop, then my games run smoothly it changes when I restart the computer. For example: Euro Truck Simulator 2 plus modifications after installing 60+ fps graphics and Death Stranding, if I just reset the laptop then the games show ONLY 16 FPS. GPU usage is 99 percent. Here I paste an example of the picture immediately after a clean reinstallation of drivers.

I mean, try the ones provided by Acer. What exact model is the computer?

Hi @baxx What model do you have exactly and what version of Windows?
My recommendation is to always install the drivers provided by Acer and not those from the manufacturer NVidia for several reasons, including that the Acer ones are created by NVidia but specifically for that model, that is, they are made to measure, try to uninstall and install the Acer ones:Regards.

Windows 11 Home x64
Ok, but so far that is until the first of January I installed all updates from the GeForce Experience and everything was fine. Since the latest Nvidia Panel I seem to have this problem.
I did the format - same thing
Clean installation of graphics drivers - same
Immediately after installing graphics drivers games run smoothly, all I have to do is restart/shut down the computer and FPS drops to 150 -
My personal opinion is to install the Acer ones and not the NVidia ones, but if you say that the problem arises from a new update, install the previous NVidia version again and report it to the manufacturer:

Ok, please suggest if you can, what exactly should I download? VGA drivers? From what I've seen the dates are very late relative to the new drivers.

You have to uninstall the previous NVidia one first.

It is the same, even, after installing earlier drivers. Immediately after a clean install without rebooting the laptop is 60 frames per second and after a reboot is 16....
