PredatorSense Not Functioning Properly After Latest Windows 11 Update in Predator Helios PHN16-71

Yesterday, everything was working perfectly—I could change modes, adjust the keyboard lights, and access the Monitoring tab. However, today, the software seems to have stopped functioning correctly. None of the features are working, the keyboard lights aren't working, and the Monitoring tab isn’t showing anything.

I’ve already attempted several fixes, including uninstalling the program using Revo Uninstaller and trying different versions, but nothing has resolved the issue. My drivers are also up to date. The only thing I remember I made before the problem started was downloading the latest Windows 11 updates before going to bed last night.

In an attempt to troubleshoot, I even rolled back to a previous Windows version, but that didn’t fix the problem either. At this point, I’m unsure of what else to try. Any advice or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I have Predator Helios Neo 16 (PHN16-71)

Hi, there have been no Windows updates since December 10, this must have been an Acer driver update? To what previous Windows version did you roll back? Are you using Windows11 24H2? Did you install that with an ISO file and USB flash drive?

You can revert the system to before that update, but not with W11 24H2, type Restore in Search and click on "Create a restore point" and on "System Restore" with a date before the problems occurred.

I'm quite not sure what update I did, but I do recall being a few days late before ever updating to the latest Windows update through power button, right when shutting down the computer. I am using 23H2 right now.

I didn't use any ISO file nor USB flash drive. After I rolled back and it didn't resolve anything, I just went right back again to the latest version by updating it through the settings > Windows Update. I just followed a YouTube tutorial on rolling back to previous Windows update (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6fnSTY6BoAg&t=81s) and uninstalled the "Feature Update for Windows 11 23H2 via Enablement Package" and restarted my PC, exactly as instructed in the video. I also, unfortunately. hadn't made any restore point prior to this issue coming up.

I'm not sure if it truly is the Windows update caused the issue, but it started right after I installed it. Everything was fine before, and the only thing I did prior was gaming.

Hi, check if your BIOS is up the date, the last version is 1.16 from 2023/12/15, if you have disabled System Protection and did not make any backups you are really vulnerable to mishappens, you should enable System Protection, make monthly backups after Windows updates and create a Windows Recovery USB flash drive once a year or when installing an upgrade. I don't recommend using REVO uninstaller or any other 3rd-party driver updaters/cleaners. If you have tried all the suggested methods for Predator Sense including disabling psSvc in Windows Services and running the command lodctr /R before reinstalling Predator Sense all you can do is "Reset this PC" without losing your files or if you don't want to reset, go online and refresh/repair the system files by pasting this in the command prompt opened as administrator: Dism.exe /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth and press Enter. After that command has completed successfully paste this in the command prompt: SFC /scannow and press Enter. This should end with "…did not find any integrity violations".

Your PS should work 100% and properly after every windows update of your PHN16-71 laptop, but make sure that you are running Win-11 version 24H2 and all updates done so that its at OS build 26100.2605 and also you update the bios to version 1.18 as that is the latest. If PS is still not functioning properly then go to Control Panel > Uninstall a program and uninstall both PS listed there and install the last PS version 5.0.1341 as that should work 100%. I’ve got the same model laptop and I’ve done all the above so I speak from personal experience not just guessing. Good luck and hope this helps you out.
