I currently have an Aspire M3985 and I love it. The problem is I can not move to windows 11 with it. I need to know what will replace this tower with one that will meet windows 11 and above.

I currently have installed a 512 SSD (drive c) and two other hard drives which I need. I also have 2 CD drives which I only need one.

Anny suggestions

Thanks

Fred

Okay, the Aspire M3985 was a mid size tower from 2012, so no surprise it doesn't work with Windows 11. The current Aspire line also has mid sized towers available, and they would all work well with Windows 11. Which to choose is going to depend mostly on your budget. They pretty much all support a DVD drive, though most don't have one installed from the factory. They will likely all has a SSD as the primary storage drive, and a couple of SATA ports onboard for your two HDDs. Some will have a discrete GPU card, some will only have the onboard video. You should be able to use your existing monitor with any, but you might want to budget a bit more for a newer, larger one. Keyboard and mouse will come with, though they will likely also work, albeit without media keys, using your old ones.

I would likely look for a SSD in the 1TB-2TB range and 16GB or 32GB of memory, just because you seem to stick with your system for a bit longer than the typical "swap them out ever three years" that most use.
