I have been using a Razer Blackshark V2 X for a while, and it has been working fine. Although it has been having the problem of the computer not detecting the headset's microphone at all. I have looked at general and specific instructions on how to fix this but nothing I have done is working. As far as I know, nothing about the headset has changed and its audio (and hopefully) still works fine. I don't know if this is normal for this headset or this problem is exclusive only to me.

A short list of things I have tried: Checking system input, checking the Control Panel sound area, (It says the mic is not plugged in, but the headset and my laptop(Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 2023) only has one cord and it is plugged in and works for audio but no mic) updating and uninstalling the intel microphone array drivers in device manager, (the specific one for the mic does not appear). Could someone help me out pls.

    Check the 3.5mm plug there are many different types, try an audio-USB adapter, see if that works, when you insert the audio jack in the audio port you should get a Windows popup with a selection, select Headset and open the Realtek Audio Console to repeat the Headset selection in Output (not required for newer RTK versions), you also have to configure the microphone jack, access permissions and testing (see pictures)

    @AimanZuki890

    After plugging the headphones, a notification will show up, and choose the headset as the output. The microphone array does not change its name but automatically uses the headphones' mic.

    Please remember to include @AnhEZ28 when you want to reply back to my comment so that I can check your response.
    Thank you and have a nice day!

    Previously, when I put something into the headphone jack, it would bring up a dialog box asking what type of device it was. It had an option "Do not ask again" and I checked it one day. Now I need to make it ask again and I cannot find the setting to save my life. Help?

    Hi, this thread is 4 months old, best to start a new thread with your complete laptop model, Windows version and Realtek Audio Console version. If you don't get the popup when you insert the audio jack, the Realtek Audio Console is not setup properly. You can download the RTK Audio Console from Acer Support or from the Microsoft Store.
