Why opening lid with one hand is not possible anymore in Acer swift go 14 SFG14-73?

When I bought my laptop 2 months ago, I could open the laptop lid up to 180 degrees with one hand. but now I can open the lid up to 100 degrees with one hand. After that the base or keyboard area leaves the surface. Why does this happen?

    Hi, not knowing the laptop model, not sure I understand your issue, but I would take the laptop back to the retailer and ask for a new unit or submit a "repair under warranty" ticket online at Acer Support in your country and wait for instructions by e-mail, be careful opening the lid, always use two hands or one hand in the middle of the lid where some laptops have a handle/gap. The hinge may have pulled loose by flexing of the lid when using only one hand at the lid corners and is a major repair job to have that fixed (not DIY).

    @AyushSah

    Over time the lubrication in the hinge dried up and became stiff overtime.

    Thank you and have a nice day!
