Brand new monitor not powering on the first time pushing the power button on my PC.Monitor is the MSI mag 27cq6f-27" qhd. PC is a new acer-aspire-xc-1710. I have to power off the PC 2 or 3 times with the power button on the PC and restart with the power button to power up the monitor. Sometimes i can hear a continuing beeping or 2 short beeping sound from the PC. Someone with a solution maybe? Thanks.

Doesn't the monitor have it's own power button? You would typically power the monitor on, then power on the desktop… The beeping might be a hint that there's more going on though. A single continuous beep after turning on the system is an indication of a memory fault. A single long beep followed by two short beeps is trying to say there is no monitor connected, so that is usually that the monitor hasn't finished booting.

    Thank you.

But my previous MSI monitor started up when powering the desktop so it's a bit strange.

Will look tomorrow for the exact beeps.

I finally did listen and it's 1 long beep and 2 short beeps for like 3 times...

OK, so your XC-1710 is saying there is no monitor connected. What happens if you turn the monitor off with it's power button, then turn it on and only then turn on the Acer? The monitor might be in a sleep mode that doesn't wake it up fast enough to be visible…

The computer is making 1 long beep and 2 short beeps for 3-4 times when powering up. It's 1 week old computer :(

Thank you but i'm not that talented with computers unfunfortunately :)

    1. Update Drivers/Firmware: Update GPU drivers and check for monitor firmware updates on MSI’s site.

Could you help to find this update?

Just tried to power up the desktop.

The 1ste time pc is powering up with 1 short beep but monitor not.

2nd time the 1 long and 1 short beeps are back for 3 times in a row and then the PC and monitor finally are starting.

You don't have a MSI computer, so none of that affects you. That's just an AI troll…
