Connect Enduro M3 5G WiFi Hotspot: Cannot install firmware update

Since today, my Enduro M3 has been notifying me of a firmware update (M3_GBL_1.30.000019). When I press ‘Download’, the device downloads the update. If I then press ‘Update’, the device switches off in the following window at 2% of the loading bar and restarts.

A system update begins, which reaches about 20% of the loading bar before an ‘Error’ is reported without any additional information. The device then starts up again and greets me with the message that a firmware update is available. I can download this again, but it always continues as described.

Does anyone have a solution to this annoyance? The hotspot otherwise works perfectly.

Unfortunately, I cannot contact Acer support by email as the serial number printed on the back is supposedly unknown.

Hello everyone! I have had the same problem since yesterday, I assume it is a damaged "FIRMWARE", I also tried to do a hard reset, but the problem occurs again.

I am also having the same issue with the M3_GBL_1.30.000019. The firmware update part keeps popping up even I have disabled the Auto check update.

The firmware seems to be 62MB. I can download it successfully and when trying to install the device is restarted and errors out with "Error" as the only message.

I can live with it but the firmware install message constantly keeps popping up even when Auto is disabled. Hope Acer looks into it. Thanks

I'll bump it up the ladder to make sure they are aware of the issue…

Hello everyone! I think I solved: 1) the update was always looping and when installing, at 2% it went into error. When restarting when a new download was requested, I downloaded but did not install, in the settings I disabled the automatic search for updates. I performed 3 hard resets. I also noticed that there is no complete factory data reset, unfortunately updating a FIRMWARE is always risky because if the firmware is damaged, when rewriting it is serious trouble.... However, on the third attempt, it no longer asked me to download updates, it seems to work, I hope that assistance can solve it. I hope I have been of some help. Happy Christmas to everyone
