Why do I not have access to my Bitlocker Recovery Key.

My wife had problems with her computer, and it asked for a Bitlocker Recovery Key which we got from her Microsoft account, and it appeared there when she signed on to her Microsoft account, that probably happened when she signed on for the first time with her new computer.

The Bitlocker Recovery Key does not show up on my Microsoft account when I registered my computer, so I went through the CMD command prompt running as administrator to find it on my computer, and it said this…..

Volume C: [Acer]
All Key Protectors

ERROR: No key protectors found.

That means someone else has it that installed Windows 11, like Acer….

My question:

How can I get my Bitlocker Recovery Key just in case I have problems one day, it worked wonders when my wife's computer had problems?

No, it just means you have a normal Windows installation, without Bitlocker being set up. If you set it up the key will be generated and you can access it via your Microsoft account.
